Mango Madness

Mango
Mango
Mango

Hear the people chanting

Mango
Mango
Mango

See the people dancing

Round a circle
Round the mango tree
waiting, waiting
waiting patiently

First its green
then its yellow
wait until its blushing
wait until its mellow

mango
mango
mango

I can taste it in my mouth

mango
mango
mango

you are the gold of the south

juicy flesh and tender skin

give me a mango
make me grin

  2. Mango sounds like a wonderful way to have spring... Mango we get in stores here usually like taste like pieces of lead.

  3. Yes, I am dancing along with the chanting of mango ~ Sadly the mangoes we have here are not so juicy and sweet ~

  4. Oh, I would love to be where mangoes grow natively. They aren't half as good if they have to travel a long distance. Sigh. I sometimes buy frozen chunks though....

  5. I'm with Mary on this--the best mango I can get here is the frozen chunks. The ones we get fresh are shipped to green and they go from hard to rotten in a heartbeat.

  8. Mango you made my mouth water with your words. There is nothing quite like having their juice trickle down your chin! Enjoyed your take Charleen - thank you.
